well, i was outside cleaning the car up a bit had my music going a little bit, not that loud though.. and when i got around to the driver side i noticed a little difference in the music.. so i closed my doors sat and listened, i realized not as much was coming from the passenger side, as far as highs, so i pulled the sail panel and noticed the tweet "appeared" to be fine, so i went and did the same to the driver side tweeter, i couldnt bare to touch it, it must have been 150º +.. but it was still playing music, so i went back to the passenger side and noticed its not, so i pulled the passenger side cross over and find that the plastic casing is melted, *the mids still played 100%*, so it seems the tweet must have been blown, for some time now and i just realized it, however i think the driver side is about to go as well because it is now getting fairly hot and the casing on the crossover is starting to melt just a little..: oh and heres pics passenger crossover: and for those who have RSD components, you should know this hole, is not supposed to be here: heres the inside of my melted (passenger) crossover: the 2 white things just above the +2dB switch are VERY hot as well, this is what is melting the plastic on the crossover now heres the driver side crossover: as you can see, this one is beginning to melt, but not as bad as the other side is. the white things above the switch are moderatly warm, not as bad though as the other side im only putting about 80 rms to each side the tweet is blown, i did confirm that, so the crossover isnt blown at all so now i just need new tweets for now until i can just buy a good pair of comps for up front
