Just run the new 0 gauge from the battery+ to the alt. In fact you shouldn't even disconnect the stock positive wire.As for your problem with your stock terminal not being able to fit your 8 gauge, amp wire and the new 0 gauge wire, just go buy a new battery terminal that will fit all 3 wires.
