You can get away with prefab sealed enclosures, and they will be OK, but far from getting all the bass your sub is capable of. The enclosure makes a much bigger difference than the sub. A 40$ Blaupunkt sub in a custom box will outperform an expensive JL sub in a bad box. If you HAVE to do a prefab that’s too small, get some poly fill and stuff a pound or 2 in the box and keep expectations low. A lot of us on here have done what you are doing, and learned the hard way. I did.</p></blockquote><p></p>
