And in my area, it is legal to pull oversomeone with officer judgment.. Trust me, if you sit in a police car for years and drive around, you get a good idea how fast people are going just by look'n.  And the cops can tell if you have a detector because the radar is audible, makes a distincitive sound.  Not good if detectors are illegal in ur state.</blockquote>
