[QUOTE="winkychevelle, post: 8820870, member: 611804"] As far as my favorite sub setup? That's kinda difficult, the shock and awe I got from a pair of DD 6.5s was fun, the Dayton ho 10s after I figured out a port loading issue was probably the cleanest sounding sub stage I've ever had. The subs were plenty loud but they were so clean you almost couldn't tell where the bass was coming from. My favorite though was probably a decade back when me and a buddy made a bet on who could get louder for cheaper. He went 4 10s sealed on 3kw in a single cab truck and I went with 1 American bass HD12 on 3kw in a ported box in a Nissan versa hatchback. I knew I had an unfair advantage of it being a hatchback so I kept my box tuning to a reasonable daily frequency and did not build a burp box. It was tuned to 36-37hz and he had a bit of cone area on me but I had a big motor sub in a ported box. I ended up at a 148.2 and he was at 143.x on the meter. His moved a bit more air but mine just hit harder. I was into my system for sub 1500 he had nearly 3k into his. It was just a fun build i was under a time constraint and had 500bucks on the line which at the time was a fair sum of money. The system didn't particularly sound great it's just a good memory.
