[QUOTE="Pumpkins1977, post: 8650677, member: 675343"] Just paired up a 8w3 with a JX500/1 mono amp. With most music it gets lost to the mid bass of my front Heartz Millie MPK 6.5 components. I lowered the rear Heartz coaxials to the point they're not even audible. That did improve the sound a bit. The installation shop said they don't want to turn the gain up any higher. They're worried it will start clipping and cause damage. I was expecting a very musical, articulate sound. Seems I was wrong. The mids and highs sound fantastic but the sub, not so much. Should I move up in subwoofer? What JL sub would get me that rich musical bass to compliment the components? Im looking for a small enclosure for a 1998 Corolla. Any help would be appreciated.
