i had a battery blow up in my face before..... back in senior year of high school, one of the janitors golf carts wouldnt start and brought it over to the auto shop to fix it. I took a look at it and was filling up the water in the batteries (12 6volt batteries IIRC). The cart, and the batteries i guess, were a couple years old and as i was refilling the water in the batteries, i notice that one of the batteries' actual positive terminal was loose and wiggling. This lit of the "holy shit" light in my head and i proceeded to not touch that battery and finish off my job. so as everything was done i told the janitor, hey i think we should replace that battery before you ride it, but the electrical genius he is, decided not to. We turned the key and it still wouldnt start. I said look, that loose terminal isnt connecting and its gonna spark. He said no u just gotta give it gas, i was holding up the seat, and thought this guy is a fvcking retard and looked away as he decided to turn the key and give it gas. Next thing I know all i can see is white and i cant hear anythign at all for a good 15 seconds. Once i was back into it, my buddy brought me to the eye wash, which is actually pretty cool lol, and i changed my clothes and washed myself off. I went and looked back at the cart and it literally blew the seat off the cart ( it wasnt bolted down or anythign). It took abouyt a day, but the acid sure did eat some holes in my shirt.
