I don't think they produced a whole lot of sound, but what they did was attach to the frame of your car and resonate it with the music, so in essence your vehicle's chassis was the low frequency transducer. I don't think this was meant as a main source of music reproduction, but more for the whole body experience. Really cool idea in my opinion!
