Hi all - first post here and am looking for some advice on how to get the best bass. Just bought a new car and am about to install my equipment I took out my old car. Thing is, my old car was a hatchback and my new car is a saloon/sedan. You guys across the pond know that Brit terminology? Boot=trunk etc!!! Just to clarify, my old hatchback has a boot/trunk that is part of the car's interior. My new sedan car's trunk is separate from the car's interior..... Man this is long winded!! I'm wondering how decent bass is going to get to me as I'm listening..... it will either have to travel through the rear seats or through a solid rear shelf which I recon must cut a load of sound out...... Should I cut a few holes in this rear shelf to let the bass get into the car interior? How many? How big? Will it make the sound muddy and boomy? Cheers Mark
