I was wondering if as a subwoofer breaks in if backslapping or bottoming out comes easier? The reason is because I set my gains using a 40Hz -6db (47volts) and it was fine but now all the sudden on some young jezzy songs it makes a wierd noise. I even set the gains at 51 so I would have some headroom since I play it around 38-45. Turned the gains down a little more and it happened once more. Now all my other music sounds lower and weak. What should I do? Also, do you guys think a low pass filter whould help.
