Hey guys, Im currently in the middle of doing a JL audio overhaul in my truck. My stealth box and door speakers are already installed. I have a question regarding what I would need in order to run my dash speakers. I will be running 2 c7-100cts tweeters in each corner of my dash as well as a c7-350cm mid-range for the center dash speakers. JL audio said those need to be used or set up with an active crossover and use a DSP for optimum performance. This brings me into my question since I will be keeping my factory head unit I bought an LC8i in order to be able to fine tune all speakers to get the best sound. Does the LC8i serve as an active cross over? Also do I NEED a DSP? I spoke with an audio shop and the told me that since I will be using a LC8i, that there's no need to get an amp with a DSP (vx800/8i) since the LC8i does all of the fine tuning? As a noob with this stuff I trust what people at shops tell me. I just don't want to get screwed over.. Any input, guidance, and help is greatly appreciated.
