The assassins were one of my favorite 8" subs. I've owned sa8s e8s DD1508s and the original AAs were my fav as far as overall sound and loudness. Got decently loud and sounded nice. Seemed to dig lower than the other 8s I've tried. As far as the comparison to an e8..well my pair of e8s lasted about 15 mins before the tensils burnt so I can't really tell you.
