So i bought an Alpine Type-R 12 that the cone was detached from the voice coil, supposedly an easy fix, i got it back together with some super glue but my dumbass let some super glue drip in the gap, so the VC was seized up, with some gentle tapping with a hammer i got it moving again, got all the glue residue out of the gap etc, but the VC was rubbing because of some uneven pressure from the cone, so i removed the VC and suspension with the 5 screws that hold them in and inspected the VC, it was blackened on 3/4 of the copper part. So i left them out, cleaned out the gap, and it sat for about 3 weeks until i got bored. I removed 4 of the 5 screws and stripped the other. i cut the stripped one off with a dremel, and now i have a Type-R motor sitting around. Is there anything i can do with this? I was thinking like a hybrid sub or something. Can i buy a basket and a cone, vc, and suspension and assemble it or is it much more complicated than that? Im cofident in my ablilities to be able to assemble it fine. thx
