[QUOTE="skittlesRgood, post: 8840937, member: 590546"] Hey everyone. First off, hopefully this isn't against the rules. I'm genuinely trying to find someone to set up in a great career. My team is hiring technicians and I remember always seeing young guys asking what they can do with all the skills they pick up doing car audio. And car audio honestly taught me the skills that were the foundation I built my career on. All the way from an F student to an engineer. So I thought I'd hop back on the old forum and see if anyone is looking for a job or a new career. We are Lucid Motors and this position is located in Newark, CA. The position hasn't even been posted yet but I'll copy the job description below and we can get the process started and you'll be first in line. We also have other technician positions available on other teams so we can hire multiple people. You guys love working with tools, you know ohms law, you're craftsmen always trying to get better at what you do. You'd all be amazing candidates. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Prototype Technician – Battery Cell Lucid’s mission is to inspire the adoption of sustainable energy by creating the most captivating luxury electric vehicles, centered around the human experience. Be part of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform the automotive industry. We are currently seeking a test technician to support the testing infrastructure needs of the battery cell team. You will work closely with engineers and senior technicians in an R&D environment. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and enjoys supporting their team through any challenge. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. Because we are expanding so rapidly, you will find new challenges and growth opportunities that you can’t find at most companies. The Role: Work with engineers and technicians to build and assemble custom Lucid test fixtures and wire harnesses Install, set up, and calibrate new test equipment Troubleshoot and resolve issues with testing equipment Organize and maintain the battery lab space, equipment, and inventory Help manage parts inventory and organization Proactively identify areas of improvement through equipment procurement and automation Qualifications: A basic understanding of lithium-ion battery safety and electrical hazards Experience setting up and maintaining lab equipment (environmental chambers, power supplies, plumbing, pneumatics) Solid understanding of basic mechanical skills, machine shop tools, and safety Basic electrical knowledge/skill including fine pitch soldering and crimping Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude Detail-oriented and comfort with online collaboration and documentation Clean and organized working style Ability to deliver consistently high-quality results when working on repetitive tasks Experience with MS Office Optional: CATIA/Solidworks experience Previous battery cell testing experience Facilities experience Experience working near or around high-voltage equipment Pay range is roughly $35-45/hour depending on your experience.
