Lt1 is a solid motor lots of bolt on options and paired with the 6 speed it is terror. optispark is suspect and is the first thing that needs replacement. Also the gm in tank fuel sending units are always suspect. $4000-$4500 is a good price for the car your looking at. I have owned 5 4th gen F-bodys in the past 10 years LT1's and LS1's both. Changing spark plugs in them is a *****, but if your good with a wrench you"ll get through it. I say go for it.
