Message: <blockquote data-quote="2002XLT" data-source="post: 4180456" data-attributes="member: 577325"><p>my brother in law is also in the oil bus, he is a lawyer for one of the larger oil companies here.  He said that for the most part, if you go to any of these places out of country you are basically on a US army base, surrounded by soldiers and pretty well defended.  They also have escape plans already in place in case things get bad.  One of the locations he goes to has the Navy right outside the base and can evacuate the entire base within 12 hours.  So while it will ****, you will make good money, not be taxed on it and you are fairly protected.  Its a tough choice though to leave everything you know to go to another country, but then again, in 20 years are you going to be wondering what would be differnet if you had?</p></blockquote><p></p>
