We don't intentionally advertise for any spyware company. The "Gator" ad came from our ad agent "ValueClick.com". It has since been removed and I apologize for not catching it sooner. We are highly against any form of these software programs. Along with sending vital information off your computer, these programs can spawn new windows at any time, alter the HTML of the web site you are visiting, etc. Be careful downloading any software you are not completely sure of being safe. However, that's easier said than done these days. Recently, a virus type software was being spread by a company claiming to be Microsoft. Also, many who installed Kazaa automatically had spyware installed unknowingly. Even some known ad blocking programs contain spyware. Needless to say, I'm also against ad blocking software... Along with blocking ads, it also blocks cookies from affiliate programs. Those are a public web site's source of revenue for paying the bills. Ad blockers, along with spyware, that actually steals a web sites affiliate commissions, is hurting many web site owners as of late. I see ad blockers as being completely unfair to the web site owner. But don't get me wrong, I personally don't like ads anymore than the next guy, but they are essential in running a business such as this. Anyway, be careful, it's a jungle out there!
