any way to improve gas mileage?

Get rid of anything from the exhaust manifolds back. (if you don't have o2 sensors after the headers)

Or get a tune-up, change air filters, spark plugs, spark plug wires, o2's, make sure the rest of your sensors are working right, change your cats, etc.

The more your engine can breathe the better your gas mileage so you might want to look at a new intake and exhaust system.

I purchased one of those tornado's, they go in front of your air filter. I got 3 miles more per gallon, $hit adds up and I drive 60 miles to work and back. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

****..where could i pick up one of these tornados...and what exactly is it for
I picked mine up at advance auto parts, was about $40 or so. It goes in the plastic tube before the air filter, and I guess I dont know exactly how it works but it seems to me that it moves more air to the air filter.

with those tornado things, they swirl the air, so theoretically theres a higher air intake rate. whether not it actually works, who knows. one way to get more gas mileage is to lighten ur cars weight, but for most people with systems, we're not willing to do that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ive heard that an intake can improve mileage as long as u drive it like a normal person and not race it. not sure if thats true, could someone tell me?

I have a 95 beretta with a 3.1L V6 and i get about 20 miles to the gallon. It costs $35 to fill my tank (16 gallon tank @ 2.20/gal in new orleans) I recently got new platinum +4 spark plugs and changed the plug wires. I don't need a new air filter since the one i have is fairly new and clean. I think the only way for me to get better gas mileage is to get a new intake. I was thinking about going with a super charger. That'll get enuff air in their. Probably save me about $20 a week. I DO ALOT OF DRIVING.

I usually spend about $50-$60 for gas a week.

somethings wrong here. i was getting 27-30 mpg with my 3.1 in my grand prix. hell i get 20 mpg in my jeep with a 4.0

I think I typed up a whole deal on changing your driving habits a while back.

Yeah, the biggest differance in milage is just the way you drive... For example, on my car I try to stay out of the turbo, which is hard to do with the tiny quick spooling thing on there now :p. But it really does help... Also, gotta remember that city driving is gonna dick over your MPG compared to straight hwy driving.

When I had my jeep we never hit 13.. Ever...

a Superchip, Exhaust, Airfilter, tune up.. and I am running 13.7 as of today in my Expy..
