Let me give my defintion of a Ricer to clear some things up. Paint: Bright/loud/obnoxious color Poor Quality Poor use of “contrasting” colors Badging: “Type-R” badge on car not so equipped “V-Tech” or similar badge on car not so equipped Improper remove of badging Stickers: Oversized windshield/rear window banner Stereo system stickers Stickers of equipment not on car “.Com Sponsor” stickers for car not sponsored by said company Poor Placement/Application “Racing” Stripes Improper “Powered by” manufacturer “Team XXX” sticker Japanese characters (Kanji) on vehicle exterior Interior: Roll Cage (on car that cannot run ¼ mile in under 12.99) Racing Harness (on car that cannot run ¼ mile in under 12.99) Padded Seat Belts Stripped (to gain 2/10ths in the ¼) Contrasting Colors Chrome Fire Extinguisher Overly Large Tach - Exceeds twice the RPM’s of the vehicle - Larger than Dash - Not wired/functioning Body Kit: Improper Installation (gaps, cracks, etc) Un-painted Paint does not match Cracked/damaged Oversized Wing: On FWD Vehicle Exceeds vehicle roof height Double-Wing (a.k.a. bookshelf wing) Indy Style Wing (a.k.a. Erector Set) Lighting: Clear or Altezza Tail Lights Improper bulb colors (blue blinker, white stop lamps, etc) H.I.D. “like” headlights Headlight/Taillight Mask Excessive number of Fog/Driving lights Poor Quality Neon Lighting Single Wiper Conversion Twinkling valve stem covers Exhaust: Tip is larger than exhaust piping Polished Muffler(s) Muffler(s) fully exposed Stock piping with excessively large Muffler(s)/Tip Dual/Quad tips on a 4-cylinder vehicle Sounds like weed-eater Single pipe with dual tips(imitation dual) Two pipes with dual tips(imitation quad) Vehicle is improperly lowered: Cut Springs Fenders Rub No Camber Adjustment Cannot traverse Speed Bumps Wheels: Do not match vehicle Are oversize for application Undersized for application Steel wheels to imitate drag slicks/drag radials Tires: Excessive/Uneven Wear Drag Radials on vehicle to underpowered to use them Slicks used on normal road The term "Rice-Boy" is meant to be a derogatory term. But not racially derogatory. Some people might say that regardless of what this disclaimer says, it makes Asians look bad. Well, I hate to break it to these people but asians are not the only people on this planet who eat rice. Everyone eats rice. White people eat rice. Black people eat rice. Native Americans? They eat rice. Europeans eat rice!! And, if you open your eyes, you might notice that a whole lot of the rice-boys out there aren't even asian! The "rice" really refers to their cars. It's not about their race, it's about their attitude! Please, if you have anything to say to me about this, send me a Private Message, comments or whiners welcome!
