I think I understand now. The Sundown 1000 is capable of about 1200 watts or so give or take. The AQ 1200 by your guestimation (having never tested it) is capable of 1200 watts or so give or take. The Sundown 1200 by your testing can do more. Does that sound about right? I can see how others and myself can raise questions being that you haven't opened up an AQ amp. And believe it or not, people do stand behind the price/performance of their AQ products. I really don't care either way as I own 4 1500 sundowns and an AQ2200D. But if I didn't and I was going by the respected word of someone like yourself, how could I when you never tested both products in question? Even in the computer arena, when people compare Intel and AMD they had side by side comparisons to do so. I'm not sure what it would take for you to get your hands on AQ's 4 amps, but for testing and comparison purposes, it would be nice. A lot of people run these 2 brands, and just because not a lot is posted about the performance of AQ amps, don't mean they aren't putting out what is said. WIth that being said, I wished I'd have jumped on one of the 1200Ds. I would have made use of it somehow.
