hello everybody. My name is Jared and i've got a problem... I recently replaced my 4 channel amp in my car and had to make a new board to accomodate the amp. I ended up being a little short on one power wire and one ground, so i took a little extra wire that was laying around and taped it to the end of the originals. I know, you think i'm retarded. So, everything worked great except that the amps both overheated. I checked the wiring to make sure that it was correct, it was. I talked to someone, he said the ground was too small, i told him about my tape job and he said that's it. Went to audio place and got 2 barrel connectors, put those on. Overheating problem continues on both amps. One amp shuts off if i crank it for a while. Does anyone have any good ideas as to why my amps are so hot? They used to be fine, until i rewired. Is it the barrel connectors? I would appreciate any hints.
