ok, before, in my old setup, i had a sub amp (kicker kx400.1) and a speaker amp (2 channel power acoustik). whenever i had a couple things on in my car, like my stereo, A/C, lights, etc, the music would sometimes cut out of the speakers, especially when i stopped, i think because of the brake lights in the rear??? well, i did the big 3, got an optima red top, and almost bought a new ho alternator, but decided to get my entire new setup done to see if it was still cutting out. my question is, could it be because my speaker amp had a higher protection voltage? it was only my speaker amp and not my sub amp. or, could it be because i had two power wires (4 awg and 8 awg) running from the battery? in my new stereo im going to have a distro block and run 4 awg from the battery to the rear, then 8 awg to the amps. maybe only having one power wire would mean less total voltage pulled? i think (if i remember back to physics class) that voltage drops considerably over long distances, so maybe that would be the problem??? i dunno, so thats why im asking you guys! any and all thoughts would be much appreciated
