I think I understand why, The MD2 is a class d amp and although the sheet that comes with it says max ampdraw 150 or 180(depending on which model), it may still put out the 1500 watts and not draw 150 amps to do it. Becuase of how the circuitry is designed. Unlike my Usamps which are class ab. My amps will definitly draw the full amprage when I give them the correct impeadence and correct power. Class D's are much more efficient at converting battery power becuase of there powersupplys.Hope this helps.</blockquote>
