Hi, I have a 2015 Mercedes W205 with the standard audio 20 system, which is terrible to be honest. In my W204 it was really good even though I haven't changed a thing. Now I'm about the buy a Audio System Mfit system (https://en.audio-system.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/MFIT-MERCEDES-C-CLASS-W205-EVO.jpg) or other compo set (4" mid and tweeters). Standard equipment is only a very small woofer behind the passenger footrest. I was thinking to use an amplifier to drive the woofers (parallel) and the HU for the Composet. Now I'm wondering how to install this? I've been out the amplifier stuff a long time already, so I'm considered to be a noob again ;-) I was thinking to connect it this way. I want to buy an adapter the connects to the OEM woofer cable and splice into 2 wires. That's going into one channel of the amplifier which has a built in high/low convertor. Then the output will be the opposite way, so a 2 wire cable that goes into a OEM MB woofer adapter. There's a lot of possibilities to get the 12V and earth behind the footrest so that isn't a problem at all. I'm still wondering if I do need a remote/signal cable or is that automatic nowadays? The OEM setup is that the woofer are connected in parallel so I wanna leave it that way. I don't need an extreme punch, but just a little upgrade over the OEM system. For the amplifier I was thinking about this unit: https://eton-audio.com/micro-120-2.html Do you think this will suit my needs? I'll be connecting only 1 port of the 2 Ohm connector, so having around 120 RMS seems sufficient for me. Hopefully you can help me out and I'm open to other tips etc. I don't wanna spend much over €600 so I thought this might be a nice upgrade for the money. Most I'm concerned about is how to best connect everything and don't cut the OEM cables ;) Thanks all! Greetings from Holland!
