[QUOTE="ConKBot, post: 5110671, member: 603119"] I started to get some rattle in my factory door speakers, in my 08 cobalt, w/o onstar or premium sound system. I have new speakers ordered (front and rear) and I'm going to run new speaker wire into the door, and in the future install an Alpine MRP-F300 amp, and use the speaker level inputs, and use the non-fading pre out to my existing MRP-M500 for my sub. Since the headunit would then be unloaded, (no speakers hooked up, just high leven inputs on the amp) will it be fine, or does the amp in the HU need a load to function correctly. I wasnt going to replace the factory headunit because it fits all my needs as is, mp3-cd, aux in, integrated XM, and I would have to get an adaptor because the door chime, and turn signal clicker sound runs though the radio, and the driver information center data line runs though the radio too.
