I've had this amp for about 4 years now, and this is my first time having any kind of problems. Here's the story. Driving home from work today, I was listening to my music at a normal level. Everything was fine. I switched to a different song and noticed no bass. So when I got home, I looked and my amp is off. No power light, no protection light. Weird. So, I turn my car off, and back on again and noticed the protection light comes on for like 3 seconds and it fades away. (I always thought they stay on constantly.) Anyway, I checked my ground, my power, everything looks fine. I used a jumper from my 12v on amp to remote and the protection light stays on constantly. I was told it should power on once I do that. So what other options do I have besides getting my amp looked at in a shop and/or find someone who has a spare amp to test it. Does it sound like this amp finally died? It's a JBL GTO1201.1
