Alright - just by looking at the pictures I'll allow that the BMA amps do appear to be built more heavily than the Profiles are. But I'll have to reiterate that in my personal experience (and that of many, many others) the California-series Profile amps are pretty freggin dependable and do close to or at rated power. Myself, I have owned a 440SX, a 400SX, a 600MSX, a CA400, a and CA600M. None of them ever gave me a moment's trouble and for what I paid for each of them they were well worth it. I can only personally speak of the current condition of the 440SX and the 400SX 'cause they were sold to a close friend but I bought both of them BNIB from Crutchfield the year they were new. Used 'em both for quite some time then sold 'em to my friend Greg. He's got both of them still in use in his wife's van and they still keep rockin' on without complaint and sound more than decent doing so. At the end of the day I think $50 + shipping for factory-direct w/ a warranty for the output level that soul05's single IDQ needs is a pretty unbeatable deal. That's only my $0.02 so we can disagree without being disagreeable,
