You would seriously buy those Bear Mountain units before a Profile? Why is that? Correct - that PG amp is a better unit than the Profile overall. Having said that Profile (the California-series) is a pretty solid choice when you're on a budget crunch. They do close to rated power and in my personal experience as well as that of many, many others they're reliable as a rock (again, when speaking of the California-series) Yep - the Baja-series Profiles are pretty crappy. On the other hand, the California-series amps and the Clarus-series amps are pretty solidly built. I just don't like the cosmetics on the Clarus amps, personally. The Kicker or the PG you mentioned would certainly be good amps for you - can't argue about that. But when looking at it from a purely financial point of view the 400MSX I suggested is your best out with perfectly suitable power for your particular need. But it is your money so certainly the final decision is up to you.
