[QUOTE="EM2_Rob, post: 8494504, member: 669661"] Hey guys, been lurking on the forums trying to find a solution to my amp turning off. I had my amp gain set at 31.62 with my DMM, but then I set my subwoofer lvl to +5 on the head unit. Had this for about a month and then one day it started turning off on me. Do you think I fried it? Here's what I've done so far. With my DMM ground and power are 12+, ground and remote turn on are 12+. Its a five ch kenwood amp and both front speakers and subs are connected via rcas to the head unit. Even with the gain turned all the way down cranking the volume up turns off the amp. Yesterday I played with the rcas, both seem good when connected only to the sub and cranked up. When only front speakers are connected via rca and the volume is cranked up the amp turns off. Head unit is sony, and goes up to 50 but I usually listen to it around 35. Volume doesn't have to be turned up. Maybe around 20 minutes of listening to volume around 20 it'll shut off. Headunit: Sony Amp: Kenwood KAC-7005PS Subs: Rockford Fosgate (2) 10" R2D2 DVC wired for 2 ohms Front Speakers: Rockford Fosgate Prime R165-S Power and ground are 4 gauge, front speakers are 16 gauge connected through oem wires, and subs are 12 gauge inside and out.
