[QUOTE="Etac, post: 4085195, member: 570589"] ok i posted onthis awhile ago... i thought it was the speaker itself with the problem because i have been running alot of power to these things and it doesnt pop at normal or even pretty loud volumes.. it doesnt happen until im really really driving the speaker and thought i was just overpowering it but after checking RCA's.. grounds.. every wire imaginable ect... i finally switched the wires on the amp to the speakers themselves.. and now the other speaker pops and the one that did doesnt... so i guess its either related to the amp or the speaker wire itself... im running 16 guage i think (might be 14) which is prolly borderline for the 200-300 watts i put to them... and even if it is the amp im sure its still fine within its rated power of 284... so i cant really complain but the problem defently has to do with the lower freqs... if i lower 80hz like 3db then i can turn it up 3db's higher without it popping... but if i raise like 400hz like +6ish db'd it doesnt pop... so i guess my question is .. if you're having an amp possibly clips.. is it possible for it to make an electrical pop in only one channel or is it also possible that maybe my wire size is too small and cause either too much resistance or maybe it got damaged somewhere..?
