[QUOTE="rlemieux, post: 2343738, member: 571850"] Amp going into protect mode? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a Hifonics BXI 2000D and for some reason occaisionally it will go into protect mode for no apparent reason. I have checked all the connections, everything looks good, I just can't figure it out. Here are the only two things I could possibly think of... Could a remote wire cause it to go into protect? The RMT wire coming out of my radio had a female speaker connection on it. Instead of cutting the connection off and using a crimp connection I just jimmy-rigged it and covered it up (basically just wrapped the wire around the connector and covered it). Also could bad speaker box terminals possibly cause the amp to go into protect? I have jiggled the wire going to my passenger side speaker around and got to to come out of protect (only after the truck is restarted). This might just be a coincidence thought. The amp goes into protect, you have to shut the truck off (essentially turning off the radio) restart it, to make it come out of protect. Everyonce and a while this is all it takes. Any suggestions?
