I checked and the dimmer was set to off, so it's not that. I'm thinking that it was all the resetting it was doing every time I unplugged the neg. battery terminal, that seems to be when the problem started. The amp is grounded to the bare metal under the carpeting in the trunk. I even tried scraping away the area around the connection, and it is a solid connection. I spliced the remote wire from the amp into the blue remote wire that was leading from the deck (to, I assume, the battery), so it's now split 3 ways. After I replaced the fuse, the thing worked great for a few days, then the problem returned. My theory is that the amp is overloaded (since I'm not sure of the total wattage from the speakers) and causing the fuse to go. To test this theory, I rewired the front speakers back into the deck, disconnecting them from the amp. I then replaced the fuse again. Now it's working again so we'll see how long it lasts....
