First off yea I know...there is a crap load of threads about this. I've tried fixing the ground and have not gotten anywhere. It's grounded on a rear seat belt bolt with paint and even some metal grinded off. Ground is about a foot or two long. It's 0 gauge and power wire is 4 gauge. No money to buy a different use holder right now and all I got is a holder made for 4 and 2 gauge. My old setup was a single ap15001d. The current slave. It would get hot and cut out. Now it cuts out if I turn it too loud if its cold. Amp that cuts out is the slave, its a yearish older than the master. The master is brand new. The amps are ap15001d. Power does get below 12v...I got a mechman 270 amp alt with a duralast under the hood and a deka group 31 atm. Will be 2 dekas tomorrow morning. Just lost time for the day and have to cut crimp and solder the wires. The subs are 4 4ohm 10" RE SExs wired to 2 ohms. I know the wiring is right. But yea at work right now and don't get off till 11-11:30 pm. Gain is up 1/4 of the way. New subs...so didn't wanna push any higher. Just set it there for now. Didn't really fool with doing it properly. Was in a bit of a rush and overly anxious to finally get my bass back. Will do it properly in a couple weeks after im satisfied subs are broken in. Any ideas that I can check? If I can't fix myself...then I guess ill figure out bow much it is to get sent off and looked over.
