Hey guys I hope you can help me solve my issue. I've had 2 12" Alpine Type-R's powered by a Hifonics BX1000D wired for 1 Ohm resistance for a good year with no heating/protect mode problems whatsoever. I actually praised it many times. So I did not hesistate to get my cousin a HifonicsBX1605D with two Pioneers TS-W3004SPL, wired to 1Ohm for 1500W RMS. The gains were set correctly. We were testing it and after playing music a bit loud for 10 minutes when it went into protect mode. I switched the location of the ground and make sure no speaker wires were touching each other. It continues to do this after 10-15 minutes of playing music loudly, and about 25 miutes after playing it at moderate levels. So I contacted the seller and he insists that manufacturers say 1 Ohm configuration if only for shows, in that amps (not only Hifonics) will go into protect mode after 10-15 minutes of playing. I said if it's listed at 1 Ohm stable, then it should play that continously. He insists otherwise. Who is right? What should I do? Thanks in advance guys.
