.........who can't keep your hands off your whip?

My dad wants me to save up a couple grand, and buy a "newer" car. At first I was like OK, that's cool. But now I'm like "eh".

Unless I spend atleast $6k, I'm not really going to get anything better than what I have now. Considering what I paid for my car, it's in fantastic mechanical shape, and the body is rust free.

I just can't keep my hands off my car. I'm always modifying something, or shaving something, etc.

Oh wow, I end up buying a 2000 Grand Prix with really nice paint. What am I going to do? Sit in a lawn chair, and stair at the car I'm afraid to touch?

I'm asking because I was telling my dad about how I plan to get the Buick painted in the Spring. His reaction was kind of "Waste".

For example, he has his dream car (2006 CTS w/sport package). OK. Big deal? It just sits there, as stock as could be. Yawn. Wow. Great. Etc.

I have so many plans for my Buick. This coming Spring....if all goes well my plans are...

-Edelbrock lowering springs

-Edelbrock struts all around

-Maaco paint job (dark red)

I just love working on the body, doing bondo work, constantly improving the car. I'm addicted to it.

While I'm having a blast, and learning tons of stuff, my dad is sitting in his lawn chair with a Michelobe, stairing at his "new" car.

dude, u should really consider a 97-03 gp...ESPECIALLY a gtp...theres SOOO much stuff for these cars out there its not even funny...

Believe me, I know. That was on the top of my list. I just can't stand the horrid interior in them.

The only reason I cant keep my hands off mine is b/c it always needs fixing. Motor needs to be rebuilt and the interior needs to beredone. The car is a 1994 Acura Vigor but I refuse to sell it. Not a lot out there and I love it's 5-cylinder motor.
