So let me unload all my information, Anyone that thinks they can help me please read through it all. It all started one quite afternoon at a pawn shop when I saw a simple 10'' Kicker Comp (old style) in an airtight box, paired with a 460 Dual amp. The setup was a steal, for all I knew, $150 bucks and I installed it per instructions found with my Subwoofer wiring package (walmart)... I know im a cheap bastard, but this was for a car that was on its last leg anyway.... Then a friend of mine sold me a 12'' Kove Armeggeddon with sealed box for $50 bucks and for the longest time the 460 Dual ran the 12'' in my new car. With that setup, added on to my Sony Xplod Head unit, 6'' Kicker deck speakers and 4'' Kicker Door Spkrs, I just barely hit 134 dbls. This past weekend however I bought a 1k watt peak "vibe" amp. (RMS is around 500watts at 4 ohms) and a Cap so that my lights dont dim anymore.... As you may tell where im headed with this... Ive wired both amps and both subs into my trunk. I know my wiring is right, Im an electrition. the 12 is over the VIBE and the 10 is on the 460 Dual. Who else has done this? Did it fudge anything Electricly? Ill tell you, it sounds amazing. The 10 kicks hard for the metal that i listen to, and the 12 is louder then ever. And i guess if it isnt going to mess anything in my car up... Id like to make a custom box for them... Longthrow... like a snailshell. Get back to me on this, Id like for you guys to goahead and tell me what an idiot i am for having mismatched shit. I dont care unless it burns my car to the ground. Or if your feeling froggy, go ahead and guess what kind of Decibles Ill hit now. Or give me box design ideas whatever bangs your gong.
