So i'm looking to go louder, current setup is a Zv.4 15" on a BC2000D @ .5Ohm. The first thing I need to do is upgrade my alternator. I've done the big three, have parallel runs of KNU 0 Gauge to a group 24 AGM in the trunk. I've gone into the ECU and bumped up my idle RPM as high as it can go (1K) But still I can't be at full tilt with the fan on lol.. So, should I save my pennies for a DC Power XP270? Or statch something from ebay for half the price? Mechmann requires a smaller belt thanks to its undersized pulley and only makes power high up in the RPM range. The combination of needing a smaller drive pulley to increase alternator speed, and the limited high end output are negatives in my opinion. The DC Power alternative uses a stock size pulley so no need for a special belt.. Looking for opinions and suggestions to start producing good power for the system (that will inevitably lead to a larger amp, NSv.3, and who knows what else)
