I'm not current on other companies pricing but at the time I bought mine most other companies were substantially more expensive for the same alternator...It has kept up with 1200 watts up to 5000 watts for me just fine. From what I've seen some people say Dom doesn't have very good customer service, but any time I've had a question I have emailed him and got a response within a couple of hours if not faster.
