I looked up my alternator ampage and found it was 70. I am going to be running a 400watt 4channel for my speakers and a 1000watt mono amp for my sub. I don't think my stock at 70 will do. I just got a quote from ho for my civic and they want 650 bucks for a 170 amp . Do higher output alternators run this high? If so thats a little out of my price range My mechanic told me a high end battery will do nothing to help if it if my car is on, he said you could unplug your battery when the car is running and it still will run since all the power is from the alternator. Any help would be much appreciated on pricing, etc.
