Until I bought my pros, the old 177a's were my favorite. The 177a's were built by vifa for alpine, and have endured years of abuse and still sound very good. The spx pro tweeter sounds amazing to me, clear and powerful without being sharp. The 6.5's have good mid bass and play quite low. I paid 350.00 online and feel their worth every penny.
