I got rid of my 15" Avalanche (Box was too big and its amp blew out). I'm lookin at pickin up two 10's to save trunk space. My amp I'll use to pwoer them is an Orion 5004. It is: 75x4 @ 4 ohm 125x4 @ 2 ohm 250 x 2 @ 4 ohm I'm gonna bridge it so it produces the bolded power. Would two 10 Alpine S's do the trick or should I spend the money and get Type R's? I know the Type S has a higher sensitivity (so lower amount of power required to reach max level) but a lower Xmax (not moving as much air). The Type R has a lower sensitivity (more power to get moving) but a higher Xmax (more air). They'd be getting 250w each. Type S has 300w RMS rating, Type R is 500 i believe. Would it be better to push the Type S's close to full excursion or the Type R's halfway? I honestly think that they would both perform the same given the power...
