I started to notice my front left components would start playing loud at low volumes on the head unit and distort/crackle when turned up. It happens randomly. Sometimes everything works fine, sometimes it starts distorting. It's like the gain is turned full blast or something. I have my Polk DB6500 6.5" components @ 100wrms from the alpine 4-channel, bridged. I did a whole bunch of testing and experimenting, and concluded that something is wrong with the amp. I switched the speaker wire on channels (1-2) and channels (3-4), and now the front right components are loud and distorting. Whichever component set is wired to channels 1/2 on the amp is experiencing problems. Why is this?? I'm fairly novice when it comes to car audio but I believe I wired everything correctly to bridge the amp. Brand new twisted RCAs. This started happening after I installed the new alpine cde-102.
