Message: <blockquote data-quote="mikey7182" data-source="post: 3447201" data-attributes="member: 580809"><p>Probably voltage drop.  Not sure what kind of electrical mods you've done but if you are experiencing it with the car off, the alternator isn't charging the system, so you are drawing all the current off your battery or whatever setup you have, and eventually the voltage will drop to a point where the amp is power starved, so rather than operate at subpar levels, it shuts off to protect itself.  If you watch the voltage meter on the amp, it will probably shut off once it gets down around 11 Volts, maybe a bit lower.  I have the exact same setup (M1005 and Type X 10) and have never had that problem.  If it never does it with the car on, that is more than likely your problem.</p></blockquote><p></p>
