I dont think its to be used with the type r components. It connects the crossover that comes with the midbass kit to the extra connections on the crossover of the 177r type x components.  and if you want you can buy 2 midbass kits to make it duall midbass ( 1 tweeter, 1 midrange, and 2 midbass) I've heard that the 177r type x components sound pretty good and if anyone wants more midbass then the 17mb kit is an easy upgrade. I think its a lil expensive but its still pretty cool. Better than having to get rid of a set of 2 way components and then buying a new 3 way for more midbass.</p></blockquote><p></p>
