[QUOTE="Abneriel, post: 1980241, member: 569388"] So I just finished removing my 9815 (with two pushpins it took all of 5 seconds, way to go Alpine security!) after it quit on me a week or so ago. I had driven the car earlier and listened to my iPod via the KCA-420i adaptor...everything seemed fine. I got out and went into my place for a few hours. Then that evening, I went back out to go for a drive and when I started the car then deck powered up as usual, then it kicked on the last iPod song I'd listened to (at least on the display), but no sound came out of the speakers. Everything except for the sub was run off of the deck's internal amp (sad, I know), but nothing (including the sub) was playing! I checked the deck for any settings that were off. Everything was on. I then reset the deck via the reset button. Everything display-wise seems to be functioning, but nothing soundwise is...and another thing. When I go to insert a CD it won't take it. There's no disc in the HU and the motor will not engage to "pull" a CD in. I'm puzzled as to what it could be. I would assume if it were something as simple as the onboard amp quitting there'd be some feedback in the speakers...at least the sub should still be working! If it's broken, then it's broken. I have an Eclipse CD7000 that's due to arrive tomorrow (the iPod adaptor for the Eclipse HU arrived today). I still would like to know why or how it's broken. Any insight would be appreciated.
