I picked up an Alpine brand ai-net aux out to rca recently, and tried putting it in today. On the bottom of the HU the ai-net is switched to normal mode, I think it's either that or equalizer mode. I also went into the menu and turned Aux to ON. Still, when I plugged in my mp3 player there was no sound. When I turn the volume all the way up, it has a low static sound (volume at 30ish). I went back down to the store and asked the guy to look at it, and he went through my menu's on the HU and tried a different rca to headphone jack cable, and finally said there must be another thing I have to do on the HU for aux. He also said that the static sound at high volume in aux source mode meant that the ai-net cable was working, but I took it out and still got the sound. Anyways he was in a rush and kept insisting that there was something else I needed to do/switch on on the HU and wouldnt consider trying a different alpine ai-net cable, and just refunded my money. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?
