And let me guess... There is also no such thing as a pipe organ, bass drum, bass kettle, bass gituar, baritone sax, or harmonic resonances in a live acoustical performance...

What does someone like you need mids and tweets for? Leave those to the SQ guys.

lol....what do you think SQ means??? it doesnt mean low volumes. It means that it sounds good and clear. Why can't bass sound clear? Maybe you just haven't experienced an SQ sub yet.

There are SQ subs foo. Take a w7, and an XXX, put em in the same box, same wattage, and tell me which sounds better, and which hits better.

I forgot to say that i think SQ subs are like 10"s and 8"s. Let me tell what i think a SQ set up is to me-

1.Nice Deck

2.Crispy Clear Mids up Front

3.Nice Tweets up front

4.Mid Bass Speakers in the back

5.Clean install with amps on speakers

6.Either a few 8"s or 10"s to bring some Punch into the system

nahh...thats just a weak system.....heh....and for a sq install theres really no need for anything in the rear other than subs cause rearfill will bring the imaging back instead of in the front........however there are subs designed to be more clear and cleaner sounding(shiva) than others(audiobahn)......ohh...and there are several 10's out there that can get some good spl....take the 10" brahma.....rangerman did 140.4 w/ a 10 tuned to 45hz......

Sound Quality refers to the drivers reproducing the notes and imaging of a 'live' performance ACCURATELY...

now, tell me that there is no such thing as a Sound Quality sub...

it is tough to get an 8" speaker to properly reproduce a 20 hZ tone from a pipe organ...

your just making it worse...I would probably stop before you bury yourself in the whole you have dug. A system geared for sq has a very wide range of sizes all crossed over to output the ranges they are optimized for, like previsouly stated there are few 8's that can produce that 20 hz tone, much less produce it with out distortion.

Bandpass belongs one place and one place only............in the garbage!!! I am going to a diff box soon though. Changing subs so a new box will be in order. For a 10" so I will have a lil more SQ than Thump, but thats where my new amp comes in!!! SQ with a back massage and fine woman riding ****?? can't beat it.

i have heard bandpasses that sound amazing....but they take a lot of tweaking and a true proffesional to build correctly.
