Hi there im fairly new to this forum but i have used it many times to get reviews and advice before. I am going to be taking on a good sized rebuild of my entire audio system this summer. I currently drive an 05 Mustang Coupe with the following set up HU- Sony single din (temporary only) Front- Kicker ds68 and active ford shaker 500 door subs (wired to factory car amps) Rear- Some Boss 2 way coaxial Speaker amp- Rockford Fosgate P4004 Subs- 2 Kicker CVR12 in custom made sealed box Sub amp- 2 Kenwood KAC-8401 640watt 4ch amp bridged And a capacitor i think 2.0 farad I'm very into the whole DIY thing and i'm planning on doing my system right this time. I listen to broad ranch of music from typical pop and heavy bass rap to classic rock and even some classical from time to time. I love the realistic concert like experience where you can feel and experience the music both physically and emotionally. With that being said my budget is not huge i am a college student but i'm not still a fan of cheap crap. here's my plan. HU- Kenwood DDX719 (already purchased) Front- Focal 165a3?? Rear- Move the Kicker DB68 here Speaker Amp- Alpine PDX-f4 or later model Alpine PDX-4.100 Subs- Same 2x Kicker CVR12 Sub Amp- Hifonics Brutus BXI 1606D (already Purchased) Also planning on Redoing the wiring upgrading to all 0 gauge power and ground and 10 gauge speaker cable. Upgrade the big 3. Dynamat Xtreme 36spft to do doors and trunk. Also reutilize the existing capacitor. and custom build and fiberglass a ported sub box to kicker's specs. My question is how will this set up work? I've heard your system is only as good as it's weakest link. What is my weak link? and will it be exploited? I feel that i should see some large improvement since I'm upgrading everything. I'm open to suggestions about speakers and speaker amp as well as overall comments of how you think this system will do? ThanK You
