Message: <blockquote data-quote="hispls" data-source="post: 8447261" data-attributes="member: 614752"><p>Personally I've had really good luck with Brazilian amps (Stetsom to be specific).... my only complaint was the noisy fans.  For the purpose of playing music the ability to drive half ohm or 1 ohm is pretty pointless since 90%+ of the time you'll be well over that if you're playing a variety of music, so just wiring to a safe DCR and letting it ride works out about the same either way.   Even for SPL purposes if you KNOW what your impedance is at the frequency you  burp you can plan around that and get whichever is appropriate.  A lot of competitors use Brazilian amps for the space savings alone.  Trying to fit 20KW worth of Chinese/Korean amps into a no-wall vehicle is very impractical compared to going Brazilian.</p></blockquote><p></p>
