When Kicker released the square driver, they could have said no other driver filled its niche, so lets put msrp at $2999.00 When Adire released the first xbl^2 enabled drivers, they could ahve said the same thing, and slapped a $3k price tag on their subs too, I suppose. Not suggesting you can make a UL as cheap as an L7, but you get my point. It IS a game to ensnare the ignorant. You yourself, when the $2999.00 price is mentioned, allude to the fact you can buy them for a small fraction of that. Does nobody pay msrp for CMass products? If not, clearly its just a marketing ploy. At least other manufacturers DO have alot of dealers who charge that actual msrp rate (as much of a rip off as it is). And then the discussion moves to the used market. So again its clear the initial buyer really takes it on the chin, or CM marks their msrp up way higher than their actual 'price' to create an illusion of added value or performance. before you CMass fans get your pitch forks and torches out, let me remind you of the similar feelings towards JL's prices. Nobody knocks the performance of a W7, but negative feelings about their prices run rampant. JL doing the same thing, but to a lesser degree. If you have clients that pay $20k for a TV that they could get the exact same of but says Pioneer on the front for $14k less, they are definitely not informed. Either that, or they are a poor example to use of someone using better judgement. That is what this is all about after all right, discussing value versus msrp versus 'street price'?
